The importance of truth-telling this Reconciliation Week

This Reconciliation Week, we acknowledge the importance of the theme Now More Than Ever and the opportunity for truth-telling. We believe that all Australians can collectively listen to Indigenous voices, raise awareness and understanding of Indigenous history and culture and its immense value to our society; in doing so, we give a voice to Country.

In the coming weeks this June, CoDesign + Sheldon's team will be participating in Walk and Talk sessions by the Aboriginal Heritage Office, alongside our CEO Wiradjuri man Richard Swain, taking in the rich cultural site at Balls Head Reserve and connecting to local Cammeraygal Country on which we work.

Truth-telling is one of our core values, alongside Responsibility, Environment, Culture and Respect. While it's important year round, Reconciliation Week is an opportunity for truth-telling about Australia's shared history and how we can forge a path towards reconciliation and regeneration amongst our communities.
